Couple holding hands at a Marriage Booster Retreat

The typical Marriage Booster Retreat begins around 9:15am with check-in. As couples arrive they are welcomed by the Family Fest staff, given name tags, pens, and a short pre-retreat survey. The survey is anonymous and is used as research for future retreats. Coffee and donuts will be served during this time.

Once all couples have checked in, the retreat team will officially welcome everyone, introduce the day, and give logistics of the retreat space. There will be a couple of non-threatening mixers to get the day started.

Throughout the day, couples will hear from the Marriage Booster Retreat team on various topics pertaining to marriage relationships. Following each presentation, each couple will be given some couple discussion questions. They will have about 25-30 minutes to reflect on the presentation using the questions as a guide. You will not be asked to share with other couples.

The presentations and couple times are broken up with a variety of fun activities that will keep you moving and laughing. By the way, laughter is a big part of this retreat!

Based upon the research from past retreat couples, we have developed presentations that seem to have the most impact on marriages. These topics can include: Communication, Parenting, Priorities, Love Languages, Intimacy, Money, and Expectations.

In addition to coffee and donuts, a box lunch will be served. About a week prior to the retreat, participants will be asked to fill a lunch request form.
