Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions - FAQs

Are scholarships available for Family Fest camps? Yes. We are happy to help families with scholarships as they are available. Please contact the Family Fest office for details and availability.

Is Family Fest associated with any particular church? Family Fest is a multi-denominational ministry. Families and individuals who come to our retreats and programs come from a variety of Christian churches and denominations. The past few years, families have come from over 80 different churches. We have tried to be very intentional in designing a ministry where all Christian denominations would feel comfortable as we focus on the things that unite us in Christ. For more information, check out our Values and Faith Statement.

What are "KCs" and how does that program work? The letters KC stand for Kids Counselors. Prior to each family camp we will recruit and train around 40 high school and college-age students and some adults to lead programs for our newborns through 9th grade. Students interested in being a KC will fill out an application online. Priority for selection will go to applicants who have family coming to either Winter Weekend or Summer Splash. For more information regarding the KC Program.

How is Family Fest Ministries funded? In order to keep cost for our camps and retreats as low as possible, the ministry of Family Fest relies on gifts from individual families for operations funds such as salaries, rents, supplies, utilities and other expenses. For more information on how you can help, please see our Donations page.

What kind of programs does Family Fest have for churches? The most requested Family Fest program by churches is the Marriage Booster Retreat. We also do an evening Family Blast program that brings together kids and parents for a fun, interactive evening dedicated to bringing faith into the family. In addition, you can use Family Fest speakers for your family retreats, marriage programs, youth retreats, MOPS groups, men's and women's retreats, or staff training.
